Welcome to the new layout of Jason-Momoa.com! The last layout was wonderfully made by my friend Janice and it was hard taking the past layout down. But decided to make a bright new layout for the site since all the other past layouts have been a bit dark. Hope you enjoy it and more updates and gallery images to be added. Jason was photographed out and about and I will be adding those shortly.

Some exciting news! Jason has signed on for four films as the comic book hero Aquaman. Congrats to Jason and we are all very excited to see what is in store for the films.

Jason Momoa has signed up to play Aquaman in four films.

The 35-year-old actor revealed he has agreed to portray the sea-based DC Comics superhero in three further movies after he appears in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Momoa insists the character is going to be ‘bad-a**’ and he can’t wait for people to see him on screen.

He revealed his DC film deal during a panel appearance at the Comic-Con Experience in Brazil, adding: ‘He will be a bad-a**, otherwise they wouldn’t cast me for the role.’

At the event, Momoa also revealed he wants Zack Snyder – who helmed Man of Steel and will take control of the sequel and subsequent Justice League films – to direct the standalone Aquaman movie due for release in July 2018.

As well as Momoa, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will see Henry Cavill back as Superman, Ben Affleck portraying Batman, Jesse Eisenberg appearing as villain Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as butler Alfred Pennyworth, Amy Adams returning as Lois Lane and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

Review from nydailynews.com.

Werewolf tale adds some welcome nuttiness to lupine terror, with help from Jason Momoa and Lucas Till

The first 30 minutes of this cheap-looking monster drama are admittedly rough going. But once the “Twilight”-meets-“Sons of Anarchy” silliness kicks in, there’s a lovable lunacy at work.

Lucas Till (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) is Cayden, a troubled kid going through irregular growing pains. Turns out he’s a teen wolf, but not the fun, Michael J. Fox kind. After Cayden accidentally kills his family (not a spoiler), he hits the road and winds up at a quiet little lycanthropic community where mellow “town” wolves live alongside vicious “mountain” wolves. Jason Momoa of “Game of Thrones” plays a mean Alpha who not only has a connection to Cayden, but a plan to continue the lupine pure bloodline.

The script has many tongue-in-cheek moments. Soon to be seen as Aquaman in “Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Momoa has an appealing top-dog swagger. The whole flick is playful and spirited, and self-aware enough to ensnare genre-loving young adults.

David Hayter’s new film, Wolves, starring Jason Momoa (that’s right, Khal Drogo himself!) will have a very special screening in the Los Angeles area tomorrow, November 6th, and we have your chance to win a pair of tickets to this event as well as a poster signed by Hayter!

Written and directed by Hayter (who’s best known as the writer of the X-Men and Watchmen screenplays), Wolves (review) is an action-packed werewolf romp that is slickly stylish.

The movie is currently available on VOD and hits select theaters on November 14th, but one lucky winner is going to a sneak theatrical screening in Hollywood on Thursday, November 6th, at 7 p.m. We’ll let you know the location in the event you’re our winner.

During a call to the Stoney and Bill morning show on 97.1 The Ticket, Zack Snyder, director of the upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, had high remarks to share about Jason Momoa who will be playing Aquaman in the film.

“I was hanging out with him here in Detroit and he was loving on it so hard … He’s a great guy, but like I say not a small individual,” Snyder said.

Upon announcement of Aquaman’s inclusion into Batman vs. Superman cast, there was much speculation and debate as to why the Atlantean superhero was necessary. In a previous call to Stoney and Bill, Snyder hinted that Aquaman’s involvement would have an impact storywise.

“[Aquaman could] cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact … he’s super strong … It’s not to say that he’s in the movie or anything like that but … he has the potential to be bad ass,” Snyder said.

In addition to Batman vs. Superman, Momoa is set to reprise his role as Aquaman in Justice League: Part One due out in 2017 and a solo spinoff film slated to be released in 2018.

That’s a whole lot of Aquaman. So if you’re a Momoa fan (and why wouldn’t you be?), it’s great news — albeit with one downside for “Game of Thrones” fans.

When we spoke with “Thrones” mastermind George R.R. Martin this week at the 92Y in New York this week, where he was promoting his new book “The World of Ice and Fire,” we asked Martin, a lifelong comic book enthusiast, for his take on Momoa as Aquaman.

“It’s pretty extraordinary,” he said with a big smile. “Jason Momoa is fantastic. He was wonderful as Khal Drogo. I wish we could’ve kept him for another ten seasons.”

Martin went on to say that he and Momoa used to talk about collaborating on some sort of “Adventures of Young Khal Drogo” series, which would chronicle the legendary warrior’s early years prior to the events of “Game of Thrones.” However…

“I guess I won’t be able to do that now,” Martin said, “because he’s tied up being Aquaman!”
